Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in combat sports. As well as BJJ classes She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her amateur debut at WCFC. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her career in the year 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC for her professional debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. The next time she fought, she won in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16.
